This video is available to download & DVD at: marvel.crosscounter.tv “STOP GETTING BODIED, DAMMIT!” That’s what we kept saying to ourselves every time we lost in Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Despite our best efforts we kept getting bodied and we were sick of it. If you’ve been getting bodied in Marvel vs. Capcom 3, this is the video for you. We were and we got sick of it, so we called in some help from one of the smartest players in the fighting game community, Viscant. His Wesker Man/Phoenix team is one of the strongest we’ve seen to date and in this video he gives us the lowdown on the most effective ways to WIN MORE. You will learn: – The ins and outs of Wesker and Iron Man – The most effective ways to use Phoenix – How to practice in Training Mode (and it’s not just combos and execution!) – How to construct an effective team for yourself – The importance/non-importance of the DHC Glitch CHAPTER LIST Meet Viscant Viscant’s team Wesker and Iron Man All About Phoenix Offensive Strategy Defensive Strategy Training Mode Team Order Team Synergy Combo Creation gootecks vs. Viscant Mike Ross vs. Viscant ABOUT DISTRIBUTION We think we have something very unique and special with this project and hope to do more in the future. Nobody else is doing videos like this so we’re planning to continue with different characters, high-level players and different games. Distributing it to as many people as possible is key to both leveling up the community and growing as a company. That’s why we …

@TheSaggyMaster ‘m pretty scrubby but i enjoy playing the game, sometimes its really hard to not get frustrated just because everyone that plays the game seems to think their Wolvie/Dante/Akuma team is going to win them EVO as long as they keep bodying scrubs like me online. i live in small town pa and there isn’t really anywhere to play that would be worth the drive to get there. I’m to the point where i need to play in person to get better, because i can already body my friends consistently

Yea tbh I agree with you 100%. Im a total beast in training an land my TOD combos with great consistency. But just drop everything online because my combos require very specific timing. I play Doom/SpiderMan/Dante.Sadly im a 24 year old guy living in Belfast N.Ireland. Not really any opportunities to play real life ppl.

@TheSaggyMaster I know it sounds like a troll. but you cant learn good execution playing on unstable internet connections. You need to play against people in person. Its amazing how much better you can get just playing next to someone, being able to tell their reactions to your teams, your moves, your combos, and your playstyle. Find a way to play in person, it will help you tons being able to play against a human with lagless input. Your online play will get better as a result.

I just realized something; with Ultimate MVC 3 out, we’ll have two characters called Phoenix.
Wow. Melon and Lemon. Interesting. -

@TheSaggyMaster You have to learn to time your button presses against the button you pressed before, instead of what you see on the screen.

This is really where my game fails. I can do the best combos that have been discovered, at a great consistency with both Doom & Dante in training but in a real match online I fail alot. I have a 55% W/L. I dont play smart. Just desperately try to start my looong combos an with at least slight lag it means my game can fall apart to braindead ‘best friends’, Easy mode Wesker & Day 1 Dante. I plan to jus nt give up and learn how to act by plain experience. Time 4 mre online!

@strafefire I never said he didn’t have a good sense of battle strategy, but he does use simple to maneuver characters for his mains, like Wesker, the meter builder; and Phoenix, the spamming x-factor lvl3 demolisher. Who also happens to have the easiest setups for combos of any character in the game, and she has like 35 different ways to setup a punishable incorrect block, whereas Wesker has only about 4 that are punishable.

this is pretty basic stuff :/ ive figured all this out and ive never played a MvC game before, but perhaps thats to my advantage considering how different this game apparently is…
watching it so far, i would advise that you always use Arthur in training. Hes smaller than amaterasu (x-23′s C, cr.C misses him) and if you wanna be super safe with your combos… you should (ab)use him.

@nickhoksbergen While truely that Lvl 3 Tron cmd grab was an amazing hype feat, 99% of the other times that Eduardo was stuck with Tron, Viscants statement held true. and come on dude, that is just plain common sense within the context of the game engine, a character like the mayor or Tronne is toast against a character with the mobillity of Wesker, Phoenix, Magneto 9 times out of 10

@Night5FOX Viscant is an amazing player because he knows this game, it doesn’t matter how well you can pull off a combo if you have no idea what the other person is gonna do. Viscant is most likely the smartest MvC3 player out there, so just because you can use iron man and he can’t doesn’t mean that he is a bad player. I can use a team of ryu thor and wesker but I prefer to use a team of Wesker Haggar Pheonix becuase it feels better to me, does that make me a bad player?
-
ActionFrank9 Says:
@nickhoksbergen Comebacks from characters such as Haggar or Tron result from the player in the lead playing recklessly, and overall not following the rules (attacking Haggar, etc.). It’s definitely possible, but for all intents and purposes the match is over against a good player. Count how many matches Tron comes in by herself and loses vs. how many she wins. It’s a pretty clear cut percentage.
-
nickhoksbergen Says:
@ActionFrank9
So it’s not over by definition.
-
ActionFrank9 Says:
@nickhoksbergen Watch the finals again. Every time PRRog gets stuck with tron except for once or twice, he loses.

@ActionFrank9
That sir, is not relevant.
