How do you know if the videos you want to download in your iPod Video is in the correct format?

I downloaded videos on my Ipod and it’s don’t want to play in my Ipod, it can only play in my computer. Someone said the videos I downloaded is not in the correct format! So help me to identify if the videos is in the correct format so that I can play it on my Ipod!

right click the video and say get info and it will tell you what format its in. i know the format mp4 works…and if you go to right click and say “convert selection for iPod” it converts it to the right form, but depending on what form it was before, the sound might not carry over.

    good luck!

The correct format for the iPod video are mpg4, mp4 or mov. iTunes converts the videos for you so you can put them in your iPod, but most of the time it leaves them without sound, so I recommend you download a converter. It’ll convert your videos into mpg4 format and you can load them then in your iPod. Here’s a link to one I use frecuently, it’s free.
